I had no plans in mind for a route home so I just let the GPS guide me on the shortest path. It sent me off on OH-550 past this possibly one-of-a-kind MELO=CROWN barn.

OH-550 turned out to be a fun and scenic road.

Multiple segments make up Wayne National Forest. OH-550 skirts the northern edge of a segment. Near Chauncey, I moved to US-33 which goes through a larger segment and past the forest's headquarters.

I cheated a little on the GPS by driving into Nelsonville where the fountain was getting some attention. The next two pictures are of Stuart's Opera House and some businesses at the other end of the block. I believe the Opera House has started to emerge from the pandemic with some limited capacity events. Nelsonville was once home to a thriving brick industry and popular star bricks trim many of its sidewalks.

I stopped at Brewery 33 primarily to add it to my count and only later learned that it was National Beer Day. My phone's battery died while I was there and I left the camera in the car after taking the external shot so I did not get a picture of the beer I drank. I'd have tried harder if I'd known it was such a special day.

From here the territory became increasingly familiar and my camera less active until home was reached and the trip ended.
