For me, it was a lazy day but for my son, Crispian, it was a work day. However, he does work from home and mostly with folks outside his time zone so we were able to start the day together with coffee and donuts near the hotel at Boxer Donuts. I did make a short drive up along the Hudson River in the afternoon but took no pictures and otherwise hung around the hotel and caught up a little on this journal.

Dinner plans were made at a restaurant which, like the donut shop, was within walking distance of the hotel. I was surprised to find a street fair, complete with car show, going on in front of the restaurant When I arrived. My son and his wife were slightly less surprised as they knew about the fair but expected it to be on the weekend. Thursday does seem like an odd day for such an event. The date on the banner is a Sunday (if it's 2024) in September! The only impact was that Cris and Lucie had to park a couple of blocks away instead of at the door. By getting there a few minutes early, I got to look at a few cars before enjoying a wonderful meal at the Hudson House.
