The century old Cucamonga Service Station isn't open on Wednesdays but, as I rolled slowly through the alley, a fellow inside the fence took notice and opened the gate so I could park. Sammy was doing a little work on the lot as he waited for someone who was going to work on an old Coke machine. I didn't get inside the building but I did get a close look and some pictures. |

My son drove up from San Diego to meet me at La Brea Tar Pits. There are similarities to 2011 but plenty of differences, too. I somehow managed to capture the whole family exiting the museum. That's Noah, Fletcher the Elder, Fletcher the Younger, and Kayla. Noah found a friendly sloth as we walked around the grounds. |
