Frank Robbins was born in 1875. Gertrude was born the following year. The
Battle of Little Big Horn took place when she was a little more than a
month old. They both lived to see Sputnik and other satellites launched
and Frank lived just long enough to see humans orbit the Earth. Maybe
those events at the extreme fringes of their lives didn't mean a lot to
them but they were around for many other momentous events that surely did
mean a lot. Some of these appear below in a list that is modified only
slightly from the one from the 2020 trip.
