A Citrus Center marker starts today's journal after nearly ending
yesterday's. This one is on the western edge of Polk County, has no
spelling errors, and is almost hidden in the trackside clutter. There is
reported to be a third of these markers though I've not seen it.

I've always rather liked Ybor City though Granny didn't mention it. That's
it in the first picture. I think of it as being separated a bit from Tampa
but the two are pressed tightly against each other. I doubt Granny would
recognize either one.

I also doubt that she would recognize either Dunedin or Clearwater both of
which she did mention. That's Dunedin in the first two pictures. The last
picture is near the beach south of Clearwater. Granny reported that the
beach "was so cold that we did not stay long". I no doubt could
have parked some where and walked nearer the beach for a clearer view if I
was so inclined but I wasn't.

I've been thinking that I should check out the Salvador Dali museum on
this trip so drove directly there when I reached Saint Petersburg. In a
demonstration of the value of planning, I found it closed. I decided to
stick around until tomorrow when it will be open. Today all I have is this
photo of some whimsical creatures near the entrance, but I'll be back.

I was aware of The Inn On Third from previous searches so, when it
popped up with a special deal in a search from the museum parking lot, I
booked it and headed directly there. My room is
on the right side of the hallway. Note that among the many things within
walking distance of the inn are three breweries.
