It was rather refreshing to see the road without a long line of stopped
semis to start the day.

Breakfast was at Skillet Junction in Jackson, TN. The restaurant
occupies the first floor of the former Neely House hotel.

I took advantage of Sunday morning's absence of traffic to pause at
Jackson's 1938 Greyhound Bus Station for a few pictures.

Place, a regional chain, operates a restaurant in the classic
building.

Of course I couldn't get this close to Brownsville without popping in to
chwck on Billy Tripp's Mindfield. It's obviously doing quite
well although I can't tell what, if anything, has been added since I was
here.

Faithful readers may recall that I met disappointment on
my last visit to
Glenwood. The threat of bad weather had messed with the entire trip
and here it had prompted an early close for
Ari's
Little Italy. There was no such bad luck this time. To no one's
surprise, I ordered lasagna but
this just might be the reason I keep coming back.
