I pieced together a trip from odds and ends and leftovers then slapped on the name PA Cars because it includes a couple of Pennsylvania car museums. I’m going to learn to drive a Model T at one of them. The first day’s journal has just been posted despite it being the end of the trip’s fourth day in real life.
This entry is to let blog only subscribers know about the trip and to provide a place for comments. The journal is here.
Denny, The Nadig is not the first car built in America as there were a number of steam and electric vehicles built earlier. But this Allentown product could be the first gasoline internal combustion powered car built in the US, and this seems to be the oldest still existing one, making that claim more likely.
You’d think I would have known that, but maybe not since I see I made the same mistake in 2012. Both corrected. Thanks for keeping me honest.
I can’t afford a Tucker so I collect looking at Tuckers in person. Guess I need to visit that Museum!
I think so. They have three real ones plus a fake one built for the movie.
I have not been on the LH in PA in several years but I think those cabins might be the Shawnee Cabins…or at least that name came to mind when you mentioned them.
You are absolutely correct, and I’ll simply point to my leaky memory. I have revealed the truth in the journal. Thanks.
